I still remember exactly how much I was looking forward to the world premiere of the Audi e-tron GT on February 9, 2021.
I already had a feeling that this Audi and I would have a special connection.
And that was indeed the case after the reveal.
Every time I saw one driving or parked on the street, I was shocked. Shocked… because I was seeing this vehicle in real life, as unbelievably perfect and sexy as a vehicle could possibly be.
That’s why the e-tron GT also deserves to be the very first car model I’ve ever published a story about on MELVIN’S CAR PERSPECTIVE.
To this day, car manufacturers have struggled to knock the e-tron GT off its throne.
So far, without success. And it’s 2026…
When it came to the e-tron GT’s facelift, I was also afraid that Audi would ruin its looks with that facelift and that it would lose its magic spark as a result.
Still, I trusted the process.
Audi did not disappoint me at all.
I’d always choose the e-tron GT over the Porsche Taycan, which shares the same platform. I always call the e-tron GT “the hotter brother.”
And with all that said, that’s why I called this story: “Limerence at First Sight.”
The e-tron GT is like your first love, the one you can never forget and that’s always gonna be special, no matter how many more loves are gonna come into your life.
That’s why it’s gonna be hard to knock it off the top.
